Street style has never resembled more of an actual zoo with current trends from snake to alligator and leopard and cheetah. There is a new animal print on the block and I’m here for it — Zebra! When I first heard that zebra print was in style I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. I’m not the biggest animal print fan and prefer incorporating in prints with subtle details.
My friend Merissa kept sending me zebra print photos and clothing she saw and it wasn’t until I found this sweater that I was on board for the trend. I was so drawn to this pattern and knew I had to own this sweater. It is so soft and cozy and I can’t wait to wear on chilly days this winter.
Incorporating a fun print into your winter wardrobe is a perfect way to spice up your closet this season. I love how bold and confident I felt when wearing a fun print and will definitely be looking for more ways to incorporate prints into my outfits.
A statement sweater in any print is always fun but I truly think zebra is here to stay.
I get asked all the time by my friends and coworkers why zebra? Why the styled zebra? When I was naming my blog I really struggled with what to name it and was having the hardest time deciding on a name.
My mom is the who suggested I name it something after zebra. The preschool I went to gave everyone an animal or thing that resembled the first letter of their name to help them visually read their names. I was Zoe Zebra. The name stuck and I was referred to as Zoe Zebra for a few years! I also have a lot of Z’s in my name my first and last name both start with Z so the Zebra was also a play on all the Z’s when naming my blog.
I had a weird fascination with zebras and when asked what my favorite animal was I would always answer zebra.

I had the opportunity to travel to Africa with National Geographic Student Expeditions. It was the absolute best two weeks of my life. I have such a special place in my heart for all the people we met who had absolutely nothing but were so willing to give. I took so many photos while I was there and was so drawn to the zebras.
My favorite photo I took was this one of the zebra butts. I went on this trip almost six years ago and have still yet to get this framed! It will hang in my forever home someday. I love this photo because it looks like three girls hanging out and gossiping about the other animals at the watering hole.

So that’s the story of the styled zebra! I am so happy that all of you are here and have made the styled zebra what it is today, my little place of home on the internet and I couldn’t be happier to share it all with you.
