In a sea of Mother’s Day Gift Guides and all the best trinkets and knick-knacks you can buy for Mom this Mother’s Day, here are a few ways Mom really wants to be thanked this year.
Given our unique situation this year, shipping is taking way longer than normal and money might be tight so don’t feel like you need to spend a ton of money on mom to show some love.
My mom is one of my best friends and we have a “call-seven-times-a-day” type of relationship. I live far away from home but don’t feel far at all because we are constantly keeping each other updated and in touch. She is the first person I want to call when something good happens to me or when I need advice on how to get a stain out of my rug. My mom probably gets so many questions that I easily could have googled but that’s what moms are for. They are great advice givers and are a wealth of knowledge.
Things I have asked my mom already this week include, “my skin is the worst it’s ever been. What do I do?” “how do I replace my prescription glasses?” “where do you buy macaroons from?” “does lasix really hurt?” and probably many more things that are entirely embarrassing and easily could have been looked up online. My mom always knows what to say and she comforts my insane requests.
My mom is also one of the hardest people to buy gifts for!! Anyone else have a mom who is difficult to shop for?! I thought I would write a post on how to thank your mom without buying her traditional candles or another kitchen appliance.
