Our Wedding Vision, Colors & Inspiration

Hi friend!

This post is so long overdue and I’m thrilled to finally be sharing our wedding inspiration photos and dream vision board!

When we started dreaming about our big day, we started reflecting on all the friends weddings we’ve been to in the past few years and really picking out pieces we loved and things that really spoke to us. We really want the overall theme of the day to be about our guests and the people who are coming together to celebrate us!

We came to these colors because we’ve been to a lot of weddings and just wanted to switch up the typical color palete. I always thought I’d have a white, champange and settle pops of blue wedding but I just honeslty feel like it’s become overdone. It’s so classic and timeless don’t get me wrong, we just really wanted to switch it up! As some of the last of our friends to get married, we wanted our day to be different and unique!

Our Wedding Colors

We decided to go with a pink and orange color pallete and I couldn’t be more excited! It just felt so romantic and fun and vibrant and just felt like an extension of our personalities! I’m so excited to see how this all turns out I couldn’t be more excited for these to be our colors!! I think it is super unique and will be so fun in the photos too.

Our Wedding Mood Board

This was so much fun to put together, if you don’t have a wedding mood board you should make one! I used Canva and photos off Pintrest to put it together.

The overall theme to go along with the color palete is garden party. I just love the idea of a super vibrant day with lots of colorful florals and personal elements and touches.

Like I said earlier, we really want the overall day to be about our guests. It was really important to make the day as personal as possible and we have some fun ideas I’ve compiled from friends weddings, ideas I’ve thought on my own and of course Wedding Tik Tok. I’ll share some in a future post before the big day!

We also wanted to try and add in as many personal elements to our hobbies and families as possible. You’ll see the duck feather boutonnieres which is a nod to Pierce’s love for duck hunting. Pierce’s dad also plays guitar and is a guitar teacher so we will have live music playing the full weekend and feature some of his students during our cocktail hour.

I am so excited to finally share this with you! This wedding has been so much fun to plan and I can’t wait to watch all these tiny details come to life on April 29th!

xoxo,

   Zoe
