New Years Goals & Suede Faux Fur Vest

Happy New Year!

I am not usually one to make resolutions but this year I thought it would be fun to list some goals I am determined to get better at for myself this year. I know typical New Year’s resolutions are about losing weight or eating healthy but I really tried to focus on things that better oneself.

  1. Don’t wish life away

I think we are all guilty of doing this without truly realizing what we are saying. I constantly find myself watching the clock where I “can’t wait for the weekend” or “how many more minutes of this do I have left.” I am determined to switch my attitude to a more positive approach when I find myself missing a green light and enjoy every moment.

  1. Stop saying sorry

Well… let me rephrase. Not stop saying sorry when it is warranted I am talking about when you apologize for asking a question, “sorry but I have a question.” We shouldn’t apologize for wanting to learn or not knowing how to do something. I’ve been trying to make the effort to stop over apologizing for things that don’t warrant an apology. Try saying thank you instead.

  1. Fall more in love with yourself

One of my best friends sent this to me the other day and I had to share with you all because I think it is so important. “I know my worth. I am strong. I am kind. I am a good friend. I am beautiful. I am funny and independent. I am dedicated. I am thoughtful. I am loved. I am proud to be me and I will keep those promises and truths close to my heart.” I think sometimes we get so caught up in our routines and we forget to slow down and remember how beautiful we really are. I am determined to remind myself daily tiny values about myself that I love and appreciate.

So let’s all walk into the New Year with confidence and being grateful for every tiny moment.

To start off the New Year I am sharing this suede faux fur vest. The inside is faux fur lined and the suede is super soft. I paired it with a white ribbed turtleneck and these brown over the knee boots.
