Chi-town!! How I grew to love this city in the short time I was there. I have never been to Chicago so I was really excited to finally get to go since my best friend Emma (you might remember her from this post here) lives there and has for a few years now. My friend Sarah (this post here) is doing this crazy amazing trip where she lives in a different city in the U.S. every month this year so she is actually in Chicago right now so the overlap was perfect!
My friend Emma lives in Lincoln Park and it is seriously the cutest neighborhood I’ve ever been in. All the buildings are super historic with these cute tree lined streets. It is so quiet and peaceful it is truly out of a picture book. I fell in love with this part of Chicago and it was really unexpected. You get all the benefits to living in a city while still having this quiet lifestyle.
Emma has really mastered this perfect adorable morning routine and it involves bagels, donuts, coffee and an amazing waterfront view of the city. It was such a cute spot I just had to share. We had such a fun morning and it really is the perfect walk with such a gorgeous view. I wish the weather had been nicer but imagine it on a bright sunshine day haha. We still had a great time!
Emma’s Perfect Chicago Morning View & Bites
Bagels at Chicago Bagel Authority [CBA Bagels] this was one of the best bagels I’ve ever had! We got the sausage fest.
Donuts at Beacon Donuts are all homemade and amazing, also the most insta worthy spot!
Coffee at La Colombe they have an iced oat milk latte on tap!
Walk to the lakefront if you search the Chicago Zoo. It’s a stone’s throw from that and you can sit and eat your goodies with an amazing view of Chicago!
If you are heading to Chicago soon these are the few of the places we frequented that were all amazing.
