Fort Worth Kimpton Harper Hotel

Hi ya’ll

Pierce and I stayed at the Kimpton Harper Hotel in Fort Worth last weekend. It just recently opened so we were excited to check it out. We love Forth Worth and everything there is to do so we jumped at the chance to spend the weekend in our favorite city.

One of my favorite parts of this hotel is that they are pet friendly! We were able to bring Miller along with us and if you know me you know I don’t travel far without this girl! She is so happy and content if she is spending time with Pierce and I and especially for a staycation we were glad to bring her with us.

Checking In

The lobby of this hotel is on the 24th floor so once you valet your car, you can shoot on up to the top floor of the building which encompasses a great view of the city. There is a bar area off to the right of the lobby called Refinery 714 with a private room that can be enclosed off. The night we were there featured live music which was such a fun treat!

We also enjoyed some espresso martini’s which was such a highlight. They were so good. This would be such a fun stop to come and grab a drink at even if you weren’t a hotel guest but lived locally!

At check in we learned about the expansive gym that included Pelton bikes. You can also check out a complimentary bike to tour the city around on the first floor. They are cute beach bikes and if we stayed longer this would have been so fun to take advantage of!

The Room

I loved the decor at the Harper hotel. It was a perfect mix of modern with rustic touches as an ode to Fort Worth. Pierce and I loved all the artwork our room featured! We had a corner suite which is an upgraded room and so worth it for the view! We loved being able to look out over the city and it was nice to have an extra living space.

This bathroom was a DREAM! The tub with the bath tray and the expansive view of downtown Fort Worth. It was such a fun treat!

The hotel even gave us a dog bed and water and food bowels for Miller! It was such a sweet touch to know they considered her as an extra guest staying with us and everyone was so welcoming with her.

Dinner at il Modo

We attended dinner at il Modo the hotel restaurant on the first floor and it was unreal. It’s a gorgeous contemporary Italian restaurant with hand crafted pasta and culinary creations. A few of the other infulencers and I ate in the private back room (pictured above). This is the pasta making room and you can see the pasta drying on the back wall. It was such a treat to enjoy a meal in the back room! It would be the perfect spot to rent out for a special event.

We enjoyed various selections of pasta’s, seafood and other Italian fare. A major highlight for me were the clams sourced from Maryland (my hometown) and paired in a pork sausage broth with a saffron aioli.

Fort Worth Things to Do

I went to college in Fort Worth so it was so fun to get to spend the weekend in the city where Pierce and I met. Because we spent four amazing years in the city before moving to Dallas, I thought I’d also share some of my favorite recs for your next trip to Fort Worth!

VIST THE STOCKYARDS

If you’ve never been to Fort Worth you need to check out the Stockyards. It is such an iconic part of Fort Worth and there is nothing like it. You’ll find cattle walking the streets and you can hop into one of favorite bars like White Elephant or grab a burger at the Love Shack.

DANCING AT BILLY BOB’S

Billy Bob’s is the word’s largest Honkey Tonk. It is so fun because there are so many different rooms with people singing, riding bulls, etc. It’s sure to be a night you won’t forget.

WALK SUNDANCE SQUARE

Sundance Square is located in the center of Fort Worth’s downtown and has a great view of the capital. You’ll likely see a police officer riding horseback and kids running through the water fountains.

FORT WORTH WATER GARDEN’S

The Water Garden’s are located in Fort Worth’s downtown by the convention center. It consists of series of waterfalls you can walk up and down. It’s gorgeous and such a fun way to pass the time.

BOTANTICAL GARDEN’S

The Botanical Garden’s are so gorgeous and filled with beautiful landscape to enjoy and walk through. They are about a 7-10 minute drive from Downtown a little closer to TCU but so worth it!

Fort Worth Pajama’s

If you’ve learned my love for Fort Worth by now, you’ll understand the absolute excitement I had over these Fort Worth pajama’s. Here is a link for them.

I hope you are already planning your next trip to Fort Worth! It is such an amazing city and I love everything it has to offer. We loved staying at the Kimpton Harper Fort Worth and I would 10/10 recommend it for your next trip!

xoxo,

   Zoe
