5 Summer Scents to Try in Your Home

Shop the Details

I absolutely love a good candle! I feel like I have RUN through some candles these past few months staying at home. I bought a bunch of candles at the start of quarantine and they are now long gone.

I ended up buying a ton of candles (guilty) to replenish my collection for summer because I absolutely love having fresh candles in the house.

I thought I would share some of my favorites, but first to give you a background on my scent preferences. Evergreen and fresh balsam are probably my favorite scents I am always drawn to them! I love lavender but nothing else super floraly. I like muskier more manly scents but am also known to throw in a citrus candle in the summer for the kitchen. I really like a range of smells but absolutely nothing sugary like vanilla or cake flavored its a no for me!

Cashmere Plum, Target

This is probably one of my all time favorite candles. I absolutely love the scent it just smells like a warm fresh home. From the site: “Evergreen pine, fresh balsam, and spiced pomander set a joyful atmosphere while hints of clove, amber, and spearmint provide fresh and uplifting notes.”

Volcano, Capri Blue

Capri Blue candles is one of my favorite brands and this volcano scent is my favorite. Think of the smell of the Antropologie store, they are always lighting this candle! I even have the hand lotion I love this scent so much. From the site: “Volcano is an iconic fragrance with notes of tropical fruits and sugared citrus.”

Green Tea, Woodwick

Pierce was actually the one who gifted me a woodwick candle. Before that, I didn’t even know what they were! Now I am so hooked on this brand. I love the sound it makes, it sounds like a crackling fire. They have tons of scents but I ordered this green tea musk for summer!

Citrus Zest & Aloe, Target

I picked up this diffuser when I was at Target a few weeks ago and it is the best scent for summer! It smells so fresh! I usually shy away from difussers because I can never tell if they are working but this one is so strong whenever you walk into the room you can smell it! For only $5 it’s a must this summer!

Yashioka Gardenia, Voluspa

I have been rebuying this candle since early college or high school! It is such a powerful scent and smells so great in a home. I just love Voluspa candles, I always get the tin ones because they are a little cheaper than the glass ones and last just as long! From the site: “Notes of Yashioka Gardenia, Tuberose & Tunisian Clove”

That’s it! What are some of your favorite summer scents?! I just bought a ton of candles from Home Goods too that I can’t link but it is one of my go-to spots for those super big coffee table candles. I hope you find a summer scent that fills your home with all the sunshine!

xoxo,
